Cromemco Hellas S.A. was established 1990 in Athens, Greece, continuing the presence of Control & Information Systems LTD established in 1978. Cromemco Hellas started business as a Computer System House having as partner the German computer manufacturer Cromemco. The core business was an MRP software package for textile dye houses. During this period, Cromemco represented the American spectrophotometer company Macbeth, manufacturer of industrial color management systems for all industries. In 1995 Macbeth was acquired by the Swiss company Gretag to become GretagMacbeth. After this merge Cromemco has entered the color management area, in the prepress, printing and ink industry. Later on as GretagMacbeth was acquired by Xrite. Cromemco has continued to act as an Xrite reseller. In 1996 Cromemco has entered the market of industrial vacuum and pressure pumps, representing the German pump manufacturer Rietschle which was later merged with the German blower manufacturer Elmo, to form the Elmo Rietschle brand. Both were acquired 2006 by Gardner Denver. The Elmo Rietschle vacuum and pressure pumps are used in the food and beverage, packaging, graphic arts, chemical, metal, plastic, wood, oil and gas industries. Further applications are WWTP facilities, power plants, offshore shipping companies, pharmaceutical industries and hospitals. Cromemco is an approved repair center for the Gardner Denver products, offering not only pumps but also spare parts and technical services. After 2005 Cromemco represented for 12 years the German progressive cavity pumps manufacturer Seepex. In 2006 Cromemco has become distributor of the German company Thyracont, producer of industrial vacuum meters and controllers. Furthermore Cromemco has entered 2008 the industrial parts washing machines market, representing the German manufacturer Perkute. Cromemco is also manufacturing, Industrial fully automated Central Vacuum Systems for Industry4.0 and Internet of Things (IoT) applications. The automation system is based on Siemens PLCs and Inverters, Phoenix Contact components and Rittal cabinets. Cromemco also acts as a reseller of these products. Today Cromemco is supporting more than 1000 industrial and shipping companies.
